The Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum houses what has been called the largest and richest assembly of American decorative arts ever brought together. Winterthur was the home of the du Pont family and was inherited by Henry Francis du Pont in 1927.
Kindel selected the 'best-of-kind' examples of Queen Anne, Chippendale, Federal and Empire furniture to be included in this collection. The complexities and details of these examples must be executed by a company whose skill and craftsmanship match those of the original artisans. Kindel, with its 100 years of Grand Rapids craftsmanship and experience, exemplifies that company.
