  1. 1901 Charles J. Kindel founded the company
  2. 1912 Ground breaking for the Grand Rapids Factory
  3. 1926 The Kindel Bed Co. becomes the Kindel Furniture Company
  4. 1936 Charles M. Kindel and Thomas Kindel assume company leadership duties
  5. 1964 The Fisher Family purchases Kindel
  6. 1966 Wendell Davis becomes president of Kindel
  7. 1973 David Shuart becomes president of Kindel
  8. 1978 Robert Fogarty becomes president of Kindel
  9. 1980 Kindel is awarded the Winterthur museum license
  10. 1982 The Winterthur museum collection is launched at the High Point Furniture Market
  11. 1984 Kindel is awarded the Irish Georgian Society license
  12. 1989 The Nicholas Brown desk and bookcase sold at Christie’s for $12.1 million
  13. 1999 Kindel opens a shop at Leixlip Castle in Ireland
  14. 1999 Paula Fogarty becomes president of Kindel
  15. 2000 Kindel introduces the Varney & Sons Collection
  16. 2006 Jonathan L. Smith becomes president of Kindel
