- 1901 Charles J. Kindel founded the company
- 1912 Ground breaking for the Grand Rapids Factory
- 1926 The Kindel Bed Co. becomes the Kindel Furniture Company
- 1936 Charles M. Kindel and Thomas Kindel assume company leadership duties
- 1964 The Fisher Family purchases Kindel
- 1966 Wendell Davis becomes president of Kindel
- 1973 David Shuart becomes president of Kindel
- 1978 Robert Fogarty becomes president of Kindel
- 1980 Kindel is awarded the Winterthur museum license
- 1982 The Winterthur museum collection is launched at the High Point Furniture Market
- 1984 Kindel is awarded the Irish Georgian Society license
- 1989 The Nicholas Brown desk and bookcase sold at Christie’s for $12.1 million
- 1999 Kindel opens a shop at Leixlip Castle in Ireland
- 1999 Paula Fogarty becomes president of Kindel
- 2000 Kindel introduces the Varney & Sons Collection
- 2006 Jonathan L. Smith becomes president of Kindel
